A child’s hands are depicted, bruised and clearly injured, but still engaging in innocent hobbies. This was done to show the extreme contrast of what experiences these children are supposed to have versus their horrific enslavement. Mixed media design: hands and background were illustrated in colored pencil/crayons, crayon images were added via digital collage.
